If you are trying out for the Witch, you must prepare both monologues (and a killer evil laugh!)

Witch monologue #1: Going so soon?  Why, my little party's just beginning!  Guards!  Seize them! Ring around the rosy, a pocket full of spears!  Thought you'd be pretty foxy, didn't you?  Well, I'm going to start in on you right here, one after the other!  And the last to go will see the first three go before her!  And your little dog, too! (evil laugh)

Witch monologue #2 (as she is melting):  Oh, you cursed brat!  Look what you've done!  I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world, what a world!  Who would have thought a good little girl like you would destroy my beautiful wickedness.  Ohhh!  Look out!  I'm going!  Ohhh! Ohhhhhh!!!

If you are trying out for the triple role of Prof. Marvel/Wizard/Oz' Voice, you must show that you can do three very different voices and understand the three characters.

Dialog 1:
Prof.. Marvel (someone else will read Dorothy):  Now gaze into the crystal ball with me ... Ah, ha!  I see ... a woman ... She's wearing a ... a dress!
Dorothy: Is it a polka-dot dress?
Prof.:  It is!  And her face is careworn.
Dorothy: Yes ... That's Aunt Em.
Prof.: Her name is Emmmm .... ily ... Why, she's, she's putting her hand on her heart!  She's, she's dropping down on the bed!

Dialog 2 (this comes at the moment of the big reveal.  You must show the transition between the great and powerful Oz and the ordinary man playing the Wizard)
Oz Voice: Go away and come back tomorrow (Toto pulls back curtain). Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.  Go!  Before I lose my temper.  The great and powerful  ... Oz ... has spoken!
Dorothy: Who are you?
Wizard: Well, I am the great and powerful Wizard of Oz.
Dorothy: You're a very bad man!
Wizard: Oh, no, my dear, I'm a very good man.  I'm just a very bad Wizard.
