Last day of camp, Ashland High School!

Our "cats" tried out some makeup today. Check out the results, right! Lots more great dancing, too - pictures below. We chose soloists for our last two songs and everyone who tried out got a solo or a featured singing parts in one or more songs. They sound fantastic! Lots of improv games game, too! Special Guest Art & Movement Teacher Judy G. for Orange and Blue!

First
day of our fifth year of August camp! Our biggest camp ever - and
our most ambitious camp show. Red and Tie-Dye got to work
right away learning our music and choreography. All the other groups
followed with Music and some Dance sessions. Lots of getting to know
you activities today, too! Huge crowd for yoga - we ran out of mats!
I'll bring extras tomorrow!

We chose soloists for some of the songs, and more auditions tomorrow.
Many of the groups are cast and everyone got a great part! 
Tie-Dye
and Red kicked the day off with energy, thanks to Guest Kickboxing Teacher
Rachel R. (picture, right) Two separate sets of yoga,
meditation and relaxation with Roberta today (orange/blue and
green/tie-die). Hula hoop games with Sarah (yellow/red) were a huge
hit. Pink loved playing water games, including jump rope with a
hose. And oh yes, we got in tons of rehearsal with Choreographer
Mike B., Sharon and Joanne! Pix of today's yoga, singing and dancing

Costume parade for
everyone! From gorgeous Asian robes to swirling pink skirts to
hippie costumes ... everyone looks fantastic! We were so busy I
forgot to take pictures. Judy G. came back and Orange and Blue
performed "We are One World" for everyone (see photo). Can't wait
til Monday!
What a phenomenal
day of rehearsing! Indoor, outdoor, with music, without ... it just
keeps getting better. Here's a shot of Sharon rehearsing outdoors
with soloists. Lots of great acting games today, a playwriting
workshop, create your own dance activity, lots more!
Our first run-throughs
today! Everyone did a great job. Lots of amazing moments ...
lots of work left to do ... but we are right on schedule for a fantastic
show! Some of our older campers (who want to be future counselors)
did projects with the younger campers, including arts & crafts and acting
games. A fun time was had by all!
Last
day at the church! We worked with a few groups in the mornings ...
then saw the results of our campers' choreography mid-day! The
afternoon was a run-through of the whole show. Fantastic!
