Week Two - August 11-15

for a great summer! See you next year!
It
was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones! We started right
away learning our music with our music teacher, Sharon Broadley-Martin,
and accompanist Joanne Hines! Here are two of our Green Group
singers!
We started choreography with most
of our groups! Yellow and Purple learned their HMS Pinafore songs
and tried out for solos. Most groups cast their plays and everyone
got a part they'll shine in! We had a guest speaker at lunch - Bruce
Rayner - who taught us how to do a better job recyling, reusing and
reducing waste at Prana and at home. Red & Tie-Dye did
conscious listening and walking meditation!
Lots of arts and
crafts and singing on a rainy day! Orange and Blue made picture
frames with LIT Meg. Music Teacher Sharon worked hard with Tie Dye,
Red, Yellow and Purple on their difficult songs. (Joanne went home
for a hand massage after all that playing!) Green choreography (with
Roberta and LIT Abby) keeps getting crazier and more fun! Pink
showed their whole dance to everyone!
Create-your-own choreography was
lots of fun! Everyone presented their dances at our end-of-day
circle and they were terrific. Teacher-led choreography continued
throughout the day and we got a sneak preview of some of the costumes!
A beautiful sunny day
for eating, rehearsing and playing outdoors! Inside for a
run-through in the afternoon and everyone did a terrific job.
Wow - the week flew
by! So much fun with singing, dancing, acting, improv and other
activities ... outside water games ... and more! The last two days
at Ashland High School were intense and wonderful.
